Our senior and reserve footballers caught the eye on Sunday last wearing their new jerseys and putting points on the table. The shop will be open this coming Tuesday, 28th May, 7:15 to 8:15pm for anyone wanting to order the new jersey. A range of sizes are available for fitting. Orders must be paid for on the night. A range of other club-wear available as usual in the shop tomorrow night, Thursday, between 7:00 and 8:00pm.
On Sunday last our senior and reserve teams achieved a double over Edendork. The reserves got the evening off to a good start with a very big turnout of players and then went on to score a big win. Our seniors showed up well in the first half to push ahead with a score of 1-06 to 0-03 at the interval. After ten minutes in the second half it was 1-08 to 0-05. We lost the initiative and let them back into the game. The flair may have gone but the fighting spirit was still there even when they made it 1-08 to 1-07. There was a steely determination to win the league points. That’s just what we did. Next up in a starred game, we travel to Ardboe on Sunday 2nd June.
The senior ladies began their league last Sunday but were defeated by Ardboe. They are at home to Clonoe this Sunday at 7:00pm.
The minor boys are due to play An Charraig Mhór, date to be confirmed, and we also play Tattyreagh on Friday evening.
Our minor girls had an impressive win over Strabane in the championship last week and play Castlederg away on Friday evening in the quarter final.
The U14 boys play Omagh and Clann na nGael tonight, Wednesday, in the league and there is a championship game with the Rock on Tuesday, 28th May.
The U14 girls played Aghaloo last night, Tuesday, and are at home to Cookstown on Monday evening.
Congratulations to club member Brian McGinn and the Tyrone U16 Ladies team on winning the Ulster Ladies Gaelic Under 16 B final last weekend.
We remind everyone that the Killyclogher 10K will take place on Saturday 8th June.
Sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late Brendan Cunningham and especially to his cousin Liam.
