Club Notes: May 1st

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo for 22nd April were 3, 10, 11, 15, 25 and eleven winners each won £10. For 29th April, the winning numbers were 8, 10, 22, 25, 30 and Hugh McAleer won £100. The jackpot stands at £5,000 for next week’s draw which will take place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.
A wide range of clubwear available in the club shop tomorrow night, Thursday, between 7:00 and 8:00pm.
Last weekend was another busy and successful one for the club with a range of games. Friday brought an end to the popular and well-attended Easter Camp. The high level of enjoyment and participation on the part of the boys and girls was matched by the excellent organisation and delivery of the daily programme by our youth officers, coaches and the many helpers.
Our oldest playing members took centre stage on Friday evening when we travelled to Carrickmore for a division 1 league game. It was a closely contested game and we finished up narrow but deserving winners on a score of 1-10 to 2-08.
The blitz arranged for Saturday was cancelled due to the weather.
On Sunday our minor boys travelled to Strabane and came away victorious.
On Sunday afternoon, our senior reserves played An Charraig Mhór and were unlucky not to get at least a point out of it. Final score 2-13 to 2-10. Between 19th May and 28thJuly we are scheduled to play five starred games without our county players, beginning with a game against Edendork on 19th May.
Tonight, Wednesday, our minor boys are at home to Errigal Ciaran and away to Greencastle.
The U14 boys defeated Dromore last Wednesday, played Trillick last night, Tuesday, and play An Charraig Mhór and Castlederg on Saturday.
The senior ladies are at home to Glenelly on Friday night and begin their league against Castlederg next Wednesday, 8th May.
The minor girls defeated Galbally last night, Tuesday.
The U14 girls are away to Castlederg tomorrow night, Thursday.
Well done to Oran Toal who was part of the Tyrone minor squad who opened their championship campaign with a victory over Donegal at the weekend.
The Couch to 5K programme in advance of the Killyclogher 5K and 10K on Saturday 8th June began last night, Tuesday, in Youth Sport. Newcomers welcome this Tuesday.
