Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 2, 3, 10, 11, 16 and twenty-eight winners each received £5. The jackpot remains at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.
The club shop will be open tomorrow night, Thursday, between 7:00 and 8:00pm. Ideal back-to-school wear for PE kits and bags.
Pride of place this weekend goes to the Tyrone Ladies on Sunday and the Tyrone Masters on Saturday with All Ireland titles at stake. We wish Caitlin Kelly, Paul Sweeney, Gary McKenna, Eugene Bradley and their Tyrone colleagues all the best.
It was back to reserve and senior football league games on Sunday. We had Galbally as visitors. Our reserves put on a very good performance and lost by the narrowest of margins, one point. Our seniors were slow to start and Galbally went in to a 0-04 to 0-01 lead in the first ten minutes. As our handling and accuracy improved, we drew level and then pulled ahead to lead 0-09 to 0-04. Galbally got a point on the stroke of half time. Our lead was maintained throughout the second half and with ten minutes to go seemed to have sealed the game with a goal. A goal and a point from Galbally made it 1-12 to 1-09 and in a dramatic finish they came very close to getting a goal. Final score 1-12 to 1-09.
We wish Rian McCaul a speedy recovery. He injured his hand in training.
Our U16 boys lost to Errigal Ciaran in the league quarter final. They play An Charraig Mhór in the championship.
Juvenile star Mattie Devlin suffered a serious shoulder injury and we wish him a speedy recovery.
The U16 girls are away to Loughmacrory tomorrow night, Thursday, after a good win over Strabane last week.
Usual packed programme of coaching, blitzes and tournaments for U8s up to U12s.
Sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late Brendan Loughran and especially to his sister Marion Hutchinson. John Hutchinson is very helpful in making the Parish Centre for some club activities and is a good supporter of the club.
