On Friday evening last, our young members and supporters had the opportunity to meet and greet Mar Bradley, Conall McCann and Tiernán McCann along with their fellow county star Ronan O’Neill and our own Caitlin Kelly who is preparing with the Tyrone Ladies for the All Ireland Final. They made a big impression on young and old alike with their words of wisdom on lifestyle, hard work and regular practice.
On Sunday night we had a Chat Show in The Village Inn. From the Tyrone Ladies All Ireland Finalists we had Neamh Woods and Caitlin Kelly, Tyrone Masters were represented by Eugene Bradley (Joint Manager) and players Gary McKenna and Paul Sweeney who is also Captain. Both the Ladies and Masters are putting final touches to the preparation for their All Ireland Finals. Men who experienced All Ireland Finals as players, coaches or managers were Ricey McMenamin, Enda McGinley, Dermot Carlin, Tony Donnelly, Fergal McCann. Special guest was a star of the 2018 Championship Connor McManus from Monaghan. Lively debate, deep insights, serious comments and witty anecdotes made it a very enjoyable night with the whole programme held masterly together by Fear a’ Tí Terry McCann.
A big thank you to all who organised the events on Friday and Sunday so efficiently and also a special word of thanks to those who erected the bunting. Another team in action at the weekend was the team of workers who made such a good job of erecting our new ball catch.
Our U16 boys play Strabane tonight, Wednesday, in the juvenile league and the U16 girls play Kildress tomorrow night, Thursday, and Castlederg on Monday.
Tickets for Sunday’s All Ireland Final will be distributed tonight, Thursday, from 8:30 to 10:00pm.
Good luck to Tír Eoghain, Mark, Conall and Tiernán on Sunday.
