Our major focus this week is the Minor Football Final on Saturday at 6.30pm in Clanabogan, Drumragh. A rousing second half performance helped us to narrowly defeat Dromore in the Semi Final with a last minute goal sealing the victory. It was a great team effort which helped us make it through to the final where we meet last year’s champions, Errigal Ciaran.
Next up will be the Juvenile footballers who are putting the finishing touches to their preparations.
Our Reserves are scheduled to play Edendork this Saturday, 4th August at 3pm in Edendork.
We extend sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late Tony McKenna and especially to his wife Sheila and his sons, Eoghan and Niall. Both sons played football and hurling for us and Niall is Club Treasurer. Tony himself was always a loyal Clogher man but also gave our club good support. He was a Star Colleges player and the holder of a MacRory Cup medal. He played as a minor for the Tyrone panel which won the Ulster Senior Title for the first time. After ten years in Canada he returned to Ireland and played various administrative roles in Tyrone including being elected County Chairman. Go ndéanaí Dia trócaire ar a anam.
