On Sunday last our reserve footballers put up a very good first half performance but fell away in the second half to An Charraig Mhór. Our seniors were outplayed for most of the game. They went behind in the first half and, apart from a short burst of scoring at the start of the second half, they were dominated for most of the proceedings. This Sunday we have a double game in Moy. The reserve game is at 2:15pm with the senior game at 3:45pm.
The third game last Sunday in Ballinamullan produced a victory for us with our senior ladies defeating Castlederg in the league. They are away to Strabane this Sunday evening at 6:30pm.
The senior hurlers are due to begin their season this Monday evening with an away game to Omagh in the new league cup.
The minor boys will play Errigal Ciaran on Tuesday evening in Ballinamullan at 7:15pm.
The minor girls are due to play Kildress tomorrow evening, Thursday, in Ballinamullan at 7:00pm.
The U14 boys played Strabane on Tuesday and play Omagh tomorrow night, Thursday, in Ballinamullan at 7:00pm. We also have a game in Urney on Saturday at 1:30pm.
The U14 girls were defeated by Edendork on Monday evening and will be at home to Moy this Monday at 6:45pm.
The Couch to 5K started on Tuesday evening and continues for the next five weeks in preparation for our 10K and 5K on Saturday 26th May.
We have a number of members who are suffering various ailments at the moment and we wish complete recovery to Owen Roe O’Neill, Tony McKenna, Darren Conway and Eamonn Burns and our thoughts and prayers are with their family and friends.
We extend sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late John Toal. John was a strong player and made a good contribution to our move from junior to senior football. He also served as a chairman of the club.
We also sympathise with the family and friends of Mrs Patricia Breen who have given good support to this club.
