Club Notes: March 7th

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 6, 7, 12, 17, 23 and twenty winners each won £5. The main jackpot remains at £5,000 for the next draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.
The club shop is open as usual tomorrow night, Thursday, from 7:00 to 8:00pm.
There is a club registration morning this Sunday, 11th March, between 10:00am and 1:00pm in the Parish Centre.
After the cancellation of games last weekend the U14 boys begin their league this weekend with games against Strabane and Eskra.
The minor girls’ fixture against Coalisland was postponed due to the weather meaning the girls have yet to kick a ball in anger and there is now a 3 week break until the next fixture which is a home game against Drumragh. Training continues for the minor girls on Monday nights.
The weather also forced a change of plans for the senior ladies squad and with no pitches available over the weekend 22 ladies headed indoors to the club gym, a tough but enjoyable session was had by all. Training for the senior panel continues on Friday evenings and Sunday mornings.
The U14 girls’ league commences on 28th March. Preparations for the season are progressing well and this Saturday they play Castlederg in a challenge match. Training as usual on Monday evenings.
The U8s and 10s has a day off with the weather last Saturday but its business as usual this Saturday at Youth Sport.
While there has been little club activity some of our girls have been busy with College and County activities. We wish Laura Corcoran, Ellie Mae Nugent and club member Brian McGinn the best of luck this weekend with Tyrone U14s. Congratulations also to Kerry Quinn and Noleen Carland who were in the UUC team who defeated Cavan Institute in the Lagan Cup semi-final and we wish them well in their quest for All Ireland glory in the final this weekend. Belated congratulations also to Grainne McCann who was an All-Ireland winner recently with the Camogs of St Mary’s University.
Registration for our Easter Camp will take place tomorrow night, Thursday, in the Cappagh Suite between 8:00 and 9:00pm.
Gaelic Start will take place on Saturday morning in Dún Uladh from 9:15am.
Well done to Karla Corcoran who reached the County U10 Handball semi-final last weekend.
Underage hurling continues on Friday evening and there is an U12 hurling blitz in the Leisure Centre on Saturday morning at 10:00am.
We wish our Scór dancers all the best in the Ulster semi-final on Saturday evening in Burtonport.
There will be a club meeting tomorrow night, Thursday, at 8:30pm.
