Club Notes: May 17th

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo for were 4, 5, 12, 20, 26 and ten winners each won £10. The main jackpot remains at £5,000 for the next draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.
Wide range of club-wear available in the club shop tomorrow night, Thursday, from 7:00 to 8:00pm. On Sunday last we travelled to Donaghmore for Reserve and Senior League games. The Reserves were always in with a chance until a lapse of concentration in the second half saw Donaghmore surge ahead. It is to the credit of our players that they tried to fight their way back into the game and came within four points doing so.
Our Seniors dominated the first twenty minutes and built up a 0-8 to 0-1 lead. A goal from a penalty turned the game in Donaghmore’s favour and it was 0-9 to 1-3 at half time. The second half was fiercely contested and we held on to win 0-13 to 1-9. This Sunday we are at home to Pomeroy, 2:15 and 3:45pm.
The preparation is beginning to pay off for our Senior Ladies and they registered a clear-cut win over Drumragh on Monday evening.
Our Minor Boys lost to Errigal Ciaran in a high-scoring and entertaining League game.
The U14 Boys play Loughmacrory tonight, Wednesday, and play Newtownstewart on Friday evening.
Our U14 Hurlers played Éire Óg on Monday evening.
Sincere sympathy to the family circle of Liam Burns. When our Club was reformed Liam, Stephen and Eamon Burns served on early committees and Eamon was also a prominent player.
