Club Notes: November 23rd

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 7, 8, 17, 24, 27. Moving into the Festive Season our jackpot is a very attractive prize and now stands at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.
The shop will be open tomorrow night, Thursday, from 7:00 to 8:00pm.
Our last Senior League Football game took place last Sunday when we had An Charraig Mhór as visitors. In a closely contested first half it was all square at the end of the first quarter and at half time we led by 0-06 to 0-03. So it was all to play for in the second half. We scored fairly regularly to finish up comfortable winners. So now it’s on the Semi Final and we will meet Omagh in Ballinamullan on Sunday at 2:00pm.
On Sunday evening we took part in the Scór na nÓg Semi Final and qualified for the Final on Sunday 4th December in St Joseph’s Hall, Omagh in the Céilí Dancing and the Ballad Group. A big thank you to those who prepared our representatives and to those who assisted with the smooth running of Sunday night’s packed programme. We wish our representatives all the best in the County Final.
There will be a Club Meeting on Thursday 8th December with the AGM on Sunday 11th December.
Ladies Footballers from this Parish who played for Sperrin Óg over the past 25 years are reminded that the Sperrin Óg Club is holding an open exhibition and coffee morning in Greencastle Community Centre on Sunday 4th December from 9:30am to 2:00pm.
Good luck to all our players who have been nominated for awards at the Teamtalk Presentation Night in Bundoran on Friday night.
