Club Notes: September 7th

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 15, 23, 24, 25, 28 and Joe McKnight won £100. The main jackpot remains at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.
Wide range of club wear available in the shop tomorrow night, Thursday, from 7:00 to 8:00pm. Some items very suitable for back-to-school needs.
On Saturday evening last, we advanced to the quarter finals of the Senior Football Championship. Thanks to a good second half performance we had a clear-cut win over Errigal Ciaran. This Sunday we meet County Champions Trillick in Pomeroy at 5:45pm. They had a very impressive win over Eglish last week.
Tomorrow night, Thursday, our U16 boys go to Dunmoyle to play Errigal Ciaran at 6:45pm. Our boys have suffered the frustration of a few narrow defeats. On Sunday last they had a comprehensive victory over St Enda’s and will be trying to repeat that against Errigal Ciaran.
Our U16 girls have a league game on Monday night with Dromore.
Our U13 boys play Trillick tonight, Wedensday.
Tomorrow night, Thursday, our young Hurlers and Camogs will have coaching from 6:30 to 7:30pm with Ciaran and Pauric in charge assisted by some of our Minors. Upcoming blitzes in Strabane and Carrickmore. Our Minor Hurlers who are training under Barry and Brian play Omagh on Saturday at 1:00pm and would appreciate some support.
We are hosting the Tyrone Ladies Senior and Junior Championship Finals this Saturday with the first game at 4:00pm.
There will be a meeting tomorrow night, Thursday, at 8:00pm to finalise arrangements for the Ladies Finals and to bring other Club matters up-to-date.
Sincere sympathy to the family circle of the late Mrs Maureen Donnelly (Armagh) and especially to her son Luke and family. We were shocked by the death of former youth player Anthony Hamdam and express sympathy to his family. We also remember the family circle of the late Bernadette Kelly. At one time the Kelly family was central to the GAA in our Parish with her three brothers playing, her sister Maureen was a very strong supporter of our present Club. We extend sympathy to the family circle of Raymond Patton who died in Wales and especially to his sister Bridie Connolly.
