We had Ardboe as visitors last Sunday and there was plenty of good football in both games. Our reserves fell away in the final ten minutes but up that were very much in the hunt. In the senior game we had an early point and the score difference remained at one or two points throughout the game. In the final minutes Ardboe drew level and then edged ahead with what looked like a winning point. An all-out attack produced a dramatic winning goal for us. This was a great team performance.
Two of our up-and-coming young players had the privilege of registering our first scores on the new scoreboard – Ben Armstrong for the reserves and Nathan Donnelly in the senior game.
We wish Tiernan, Mark, Conall, Sean and the Tyrone seniors all the best in the All Ireland quarter final this Saturday.
