Club Notes: June 22nd

Winning numbers in the Lottsodoo were 6, 9, 13, 27, 28 and twenty two winners each won £5. The main jackpot stays at £5,000 for next week’s draw which takes place as usual at the Bingo in the Parish Centre on Monday night.
Hurls, helmets and a whole range of clubwear available in the club shop tomorrow night, Thursday, from 7:00 to 8:00pm.
We play Loughmacrory tomorrow night, Thursday, in the U21 competition at 8:15pm in Loughmacrory.
Senior and Reserve footballers will be in action on Sunday when Dromore come to Ballinamullan.
Patrons are asked to note that there will be no club lotto sales and instead a charity collection will be taken up to help James Molloy and Ronan McAleer (Dromore) who are going to Cape Town to help build a school. We welcome James home from Australia.
Conall, Tiernan, Mark, Sean and Tyrone lived to fight another day. That other day will be next Sunday, 3rd July. Any member looking for tickets must place an order by email or text by Friday night.
Also on Friday night, horses in the first race in our Night at the Races in The Village Inn come under starter’s orders at 9:00pm. We are appealing for a big turnout for this fundraising event.
The highlight of last week was our annual Donnelly Cup. A big thank you to those who organised it so efficiently and to the schools for their willing participation. This year’s competition lived up to the high standards of previous years. Well done to everybody involved.
Our U11 boys took part in the Brendan McGlone Tournament in Aghaloo last Saturday when the U8s/U10s were in Drumragh.
Our U16 boys are playing challenge matches in preparation for the league.
Tuesday 28th June sees the beginning of the juvenile hurling league with an away game to Omagh.
Our minor girls are waiting for a date for the league final.
A sports and fun evening next Tuesday 28th June will mark the end of the school year, Parents, children and family members are warmly invited to come to Ballinamullan at 6:30pm. Workers and organisers should be there from 5:30pm.
