Magnificient Seven

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

The Cappagh U 10 team finished their season on a high note at the final Tyrone County board Blitz in Dromore on Saturday 19th September 2009.

They were the top team at the Blitz beating Dungannon A with a decisive victory, Omagh A (fielding a first underage team since 2002) Dromore B and drew with a really good Dromore A team. Naoimh Colmcille Coalisland also attended.

What a first season these boys have had. They have also competed at 3 Ulster Council Blitzes and 1 Derry Go Games Hurling Blitz. Thanks to all the boys for attending all year as all 7 also line out for the club U8 or U10 football teams.

Well done to Michael Lench and Michael Mullin who represented the club and County in the Ulster U12 Hurling Skills Final held at the Mid Ulster Sports Arena. Both boys more than held their own against boys from Derry, Antrim, Down and the remaining Ulster Counties and wore the colours with pride.
