Rock On Feile na Ceapai

Freerider Shake Ballinamullan to its Foundations!!!

The long awaited ‘Home Club’ gig by the multitalented talented Freerider shook the punters ‘all night long’. The Knockmoyle natives put on one hell of a show, whilst the massive crowd danced the night away.

Everyone lucky enough to be there had a night which will live long in their memories. To make such an event possible took some planning… Thanks to all who helped make the switch from Kids Fun Day to Rock Venue Extraordinaire! Thanks to the bar staff who kept everyone happy. Thanks to Eamon for the all night barbecue! Thanks to all our sponsors & contributors… but mostly thanks to you, you all made it possible.

On behalf of Freerider “The soundtrack to Feile Na Ceapai 09 Rock Festival” (in association with Sony BMG, Atlantic 252 and Highland radio promotions) I’d like to offer our thanks to Pete OKane and Ciaran Mc Mullan for getting us the booking to play at Feile Na Ceapai 09 we had a great time, also thanks to Emma and Lisa behind the bar for the free drink all night. Yous were far too generous, really though girls, yous were ridiculously generous I can hardly remember the end of the night at all, I can almost remember buying a transit van of Ciaran Carlin for 200 Euro and our drummer falling off the stage in an attempt to break his record of breaking 5 ribs in one gig, unfortunately he came up short but we all thought that three this time was a valiant effort. Also a big Freerider thanks to the hard working bouncers and door staff who kept all the screaming fans from mobing us at every opportunity. We’d also like to offer our thanks to Sean OKane for staying on at the big top untill 8am after the gig signing all the autographs on our behalf. And to Felim and Fehin for the boxes of free feile na Ceapai teeshirts we made a fortune selling them for half the price outside the tent at the end of the night. I also want to thank Brian Meenagh and Anne Treanor for giving us all a glimpse of the Dancing talent which brought the house down at the strictly come dancing club championships in the mellon country inn. Finally I’d just like to apologise to Marty Loughery for waking him up from his sleep with a bit of loud music. We’ll hopefully be stretchered back in another 125 years for the next big party were all getting pretty psyched about that one!
